The Regional Science High School for Region IX (RSHS-IX) is a public science-oriented school located in Malasiga, San Roque, Zamboanga City. Founded in 1994, it is special because it provides an enriched curriculum with a strong focus on Science, Mathematics, and research. It is considered a good school because it challenges students academically, develops their skills in science and other fields, and has produced students who have achieved recognition in academic and non-academic competitions.
The Regional Science High School for Region IX also provides students with opportunities to develop their talents beyond regular classroom lessons. Students can participate in different school activities, organizations, competitions, and events that help improve their leadership, teamwork, communication, and creativity.
